Our very first assignment here at RMIT came to a conclusion! Although my team has not yet received the scores, I firmly believe that they will be desirable. The behind-the-scenes work was definitely dynamic, so allow me to elaborate on it.
After prolonged discussions, we decided to land on my proposed topic: coffee and its health effects. It was great to help everyone envision my view , but challenging it was nonetheless in carrying it out. Despite the uncharacteristically short research process giving us a headstart, scriptwriting soon proved to be our major obstacle throughout the assignment. From role distribution to audio finding, we set out to take care of every detail.
...What was the most arduous part, you might ask? Well, it will have to be recording. Predictably, a meeting at one of the library's rooms was arranged, since sound-proof ones were inaccessible for us. A handful of recordings had to be performed, since everybody had to familiarize and adapt to achieve the pleasant, welcoming atmosphere our podcast needed. It did later take one of my teammates to record again on her own, since she deemed the sound was not authentic enough.
As a scriptwriter, I acknowledged the importance of little but impactful details, such as stress and tone of voice. This was what I reminded my peers, and they delivered with genuine feelings. It might be flatulent, but I think I executed my part sensibly, so I cannot wait to see the result to verify that claim!
The most memorable experience I gained was undoubtedly that of teamwork. Cliché, maybe, but at the end of the day, we could not have produced the podcast without one another. I would like to express my thankfulness to my fellow teammates and am looking forward to working with them again on new projects.
